for the record: yes I intentionally misspelled Lago Titicaca. It's just that we as a group have been referring to it as that because it's funny and that's typically what comes out.
Anyways, this weekend we went to Puno. Puno is another departamento...aka providence of Peru. Peru fun fact: Peru is split up into 24 departamentos and which providence has a different amount of districts.
The only thing exciting about Puno is Lago Titicaca. Legend is that there was a princess named Caca and she met and fell in love with Tito who was just a commoner. Tito and Caca could never be together because she was nobility that would never age and he wasn't. One day Tito died and Caca was uber sad; so sad that it is believed that her tears eventually created the Lake Titicaca.
While at Lago Titicaca...I was able to see Bolivia. Oh hell freakin' yeahhhhh!!!!!!! I totally saw the snowy mountains of Bolivia from a distance. Anyways, the 3 hour boat ride was totally worth it. We also saw floating islands like an island was created on top of water and it is basically supported by dirt blocks and this sort of water plant of which i forgot the name but i know it starts with a T. haha.
On the boat ride back, Jess and I bonded with our professors. Of which I have decided btw to make a book for them to remember everything they have gone through on this trip. Starting with the girl who got appendicitis, my constant upchucking, and everyone else. haha.
