Peru

Greetings from Cusco, Peru.

As of now, I'm bed ridden because of what [I] would like to call food poisoning, but the doctor would consider bacterial infection of the intestines.

However, Peru has been an experience nonetheless.

Our first night in Peru we stayed in Lima, and although we were only there for a day it was awesome!
Lima reminded me a lot of the U.S. probably because of globalization. I mean, there was a Payless, Victoria's Secret, so on and so forth. For the day we were there of course we decided to go out...me and some friends decided to go to a salsa club and sip on some mojitos, margaritas, pisco sours (traditional peruvian drink), and attempt to dance some salsa. haha. Of course before the dancing there was that whole tourism thing. We went to "El Museo de Oro" (Translation: "The Museum of Gold") which contained a ton of Incan gold artifacts as well as other artifacts during that time. I would've taken pictures...but picture taking was forbidden. Also, that day we took a 4 hour bus tour around Lima. Who would've known that Lima could take 4 hours to tour. Oh but don't worry, they made sure to include a 20 minute coffee break at the 5 star Sheraton Hotel.

Now onto Cusco. Me and Cusco aren't on the best of term at the moment. aside from being sick, the altitude kinda made me dizzy. however, the view of the Andes mountains in beautiful. On sunday, we went on an all day tour of the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley), and visited multiple Incan sites. One of which I climbed, yes, I did physical activity! haha.
